Today we went to Edinburgh zoo to see the animals there.We were very excited to see the panda bears.
At the zoo there were loads of penguins they were very cute and fluffy. we saw a baby penguin.we could see some of the penguins swimming under water through some glass.
After that we went to see the pandas.we were expecting them to be very big since the are called giant pandas but they weren"t very big.I found out that they ate 30 kilograms of bamboo a day. Also they eat 8 hours a day and sleep 16 hours a day. Bamboo is very hard so panda bear teeth have to be very strong to bite through the bamboo.
Next we went to see the indian one-horned rhinos they are very big and looked very strong. One of the rhinos charged at the fence.Luckily the fence didn"t break.
Next we went to see the easteran kiang. We think they are a type of horse. When we went up to them they ran away so we couldn"t get a good picture. After we went to see the zebras and deer I got to look through a telescope to look at the animals up close.
